Freixenet inaugurates the summer wine tourism season with the “Gastronomic Sunsets”

  • After the success of the 2020 edition, the winery relaunches the experience with a renewed gastronomic proposal
  • From the 25th of June, every Thursday and Friday during the summer visitors will be able to enjoy the best Mediterranean cuisine paired with Freixenet wines and Cavas

The Freixenet Cavas start the summer wine tourism season with the launch of the “Gastronomic Sunsets“. Despite last year’s restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition was a success in attendance and the Penedès winery has decided to repeat the experience by betting on a completely renewed gastronomic offer and new products proposed for the pairing.

Starting next June 25 and throughout the summer, the Sant Sadurní d’Anoia Cavas will offer every Thursday and Friday night an experience of pairing their wines and Cavas with a complete tasting menu. The characteristic feature of the evening is that the winery’s public relations explain the specificities of each pairing proposal individually, thus creating a dance of harmonies between gastronomy and Cava. Likewise, the activity includes an optional prior visit to the centenary cellar of Freixenet with explanations about the history of the winery and the traditional method of making Cava.

Throughout the duration of the event, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy an enogastronomic experience of four parts, each consisting of three tastings paired with a Cava or wine selected especially for each occasion. The event takes place in an unbeatable environment, outdoors and in front of the characteristic modernist facade of Freixenet, with an intimate atmosphere for each of the tables. The offer includes the most emblematic Freixenet Cavas such as Elyssia Pinot Noir, Brut Nature, Reserva Real and Trepat, as well as the new Freixenet Selección Especial Blanco wine, which belongs to the Freixenet Wine Collection recently released on the Spanish market and which has meant the winery’s entry into the still wines sector.

Maintaining Freixenet’s firm commitment to offer a safe and high-quality wine tourism and enogastronomic proposal, this year’s “Gastronomic Sunsets” have been adapted to the epidemiological situation to comply with the demanding security and protection measures necessary. To attend the dinners, a prior reservation is required booking on the website www.freixenet.es, by sending an email to enoturismo@freixenet.es or by calling 93 891 70 96.
