Along with Pedro Ferrer, vice president and CEO of the Freixenet Group, the minister has also been accompanied by Teresa Cunillera, Government Delegate in Catalonia; Fernando Miranda, General Secretary of Agriculture and Food, and Javier Pagés, President of the Cava Regulatory Council, among others.

“Freixenet is a leading company in the production of our precious cava and for many years they have made it possible. Congratulations for their work and their role as ambassadors in the presence of the Spanish agri-food sector throughout the world”, said Minister Luis Planas during the visit.

In the words of Pedro Ferrer: “It has been a fruitful and very constructive meeting. In an unprecedented and uncertain situation for all, it is very satisfying to have the support and understanding of public institutions. We know about the quality and potential of DO Cava and Freixenet, and we have full confidence in what is to come”.
