The Freixenet Group signs the Diversity Charter for inclusion and non-discrimination at work
Coinciding with the celebration of the European Diversity Month in Spain, the Freixenet Group is a new signatory to the Diversity Charter, reinforcing its commitment to the ten European values and principles regarding non-discrimination and labour inclusion.
The initiative, launched by the Diversity Foundation and promoted by the European Commission, has already exceeded the number of more than 1,600 signatory organisations, companies and institutions, making it the third most popular letter on the Diversity Charter Platform in the European Union.
Among the 10 Principles of the Diversity Charter are the promotion of equal opportunities and respect for diversity, the promotion of conciliation and co-responsibility or the construction of a diverse workforce. Also promoting the integration of people with diverse profiles, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, origin, religion, beliefs, age, disability or any other personal or social circumstance, among others.
The celebration in Spain of the European Diversity Month is organized within the framework of the European Year of Competences. The objective is to highlight that, in times of uncertainty, the technological and green transition, as well as the management of diversity are fundamental factors to promote any business and business strategy.
Beyond this important adherence, new awareness-raising actions on the principles of equality and diversity will be promoted and announced within the framework of the Freixenet Group Equality Plan over the coming weeks. In addition, the company also has the “Protocol for the Prevention and Treatment of Harassment at Work” agreed with the legal representation of employees, evidencing once again its commitment to ensure a safe work space for all personnel.
