Freixenet Italian Rosé, Grand Gold at the Barcelona Rosé International Bubble Awards 2023

From Grupo Freixenet we are proud to announce that Freixenet, Segura Viudas and Alfred Gratien have added new successes in the prestigious Barcelona Rosé International Bubble Awards 2023 held at the Palau Robert.
Especially noteworthy is the Grand Gold medal for the elegant Freixenet Italian Rosé. This rosé is a delicious combination of the best bunches of Glera and Pinot Noir that are harvested in Italy. A fresh and fruity sparkling wine with an elegant pink tone and a brightness and beauty that dazzle. It has a delicate aroma of red fruits and an elegant base of white flowers and apples. A delicious wine to enjoy alone or as a refreshing pairing with any meal. On behalf of Freixenet, it has also received an Elyssia Pinot Noir Silver medal in the category of pink sparkling wines made by the traditional method of more than 30 months. This sophisticated pink cava is very fruity with intense aromas of red fruits, ripe fruit and compotes.
On the other hand, the prestigious Alfred Gratien Brut Rosé champagne has obtained the Gold medal in the category of sparkling rosés made by the traditional AOC Champagne method. It is a classic gourmet rosé champagne, delicate, but has a great structure and an attractive character. The initial aroma is fruity (strawberries and currants) and floral with a true harmony, reinforced by a fine acidity, light notes of tannin and a discreet sweetness.
Finally, Segura Viudas, our renowned winery with 800 years of winemaking tradition and respect for the roots, has been awarded a Silver medal for Segura Viudas Brut Rosé. This rosé has an intense aroma of fruit, both on the nose and on the palate, vivid color and finesse. In the search for the perfect balance between fruit and aging, the blend for this rosé is made with three grape varieties: trepat, pinot noir and grenache, each of which brings its particular characteristics.
The Barcelona Rosé International Bubbles Awards were born with the aim of promoting and enhancing quality rosé sparkling wines, promoting knowledge, dissemination and stimulating their responsible consumption, linking them with the character and attributes of the city of Barcelona.
