- The company’s new achievements, in the form of gold and silver medals, certify The Freixenet Group’s firm commitment to the highest quality
Freixenet and Segura Viudas, emblematic brands of Grupo Freixenet, world leader in quality sparkling wines, have added new successes in the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, in its edition of sparkling wines. Specifically, the cavas Segura Viudas Brut Reserva and Freixenet Cordón Negro, have received gold and silver medals, respectively, for the renowned competition.
The winner of the gold medal, the cava Segura Viudas Brut Reserva, comes from grapes harvested by hand and transported in boxes of 25 kilograms to avoid the breakage of the grains. Characterized by its fruit aromas and its freshness and complexity, Segura Viudas Brut Reserva spends a minimum of 15 months in aging inside the bottle, presenting structure, softness in the mouth, more complex aromas (honey, nuts, flowers) and an elegant and persistent bubble.
For its part, Freixenet Cordón Negro Brut is one of the most recognized freixenet products nationally and internationally. With a balanced blend of Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo varieties, Cordón Negro is a fruity, light and fresh cava with fine and delicate aromas that have been valued by the panel of experts of this prestigious international competition.
The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has a rigorously selected jury based on specialized journalists, winemakers, international buyers, researchers and representatives of institutions, together they make up a cosmopolitan panel of some 51 nationalities, which is responsible for awarding the medals.
The recognitions obtained demonstrate, once again, the commitment of Grupo Freixenet with the highest quality and demand in all its products.
