The Freixenet Group exhibits its novelties at the III edition of Barcelona Wine Week

The Freixenet Group, world leader in quality sparkling wines, will be present at the new edition of Barcelona Wine Week, the international event that brings together important companies in the wine sector in Barcelona. The event, which reaches its third edition this year, will be held from 6 to 8 February at the Montjuïc Venue of the Fira de Barcelona and visitors will be able to discover the novelties of Grupo Freixenet at stand C211 in Hall 8.
This year, the complete range of Freixenet Special Selection Still Wines will be present. After the successful launch of white and rosé wine, Freixenet Group has recently opted to introduce a new red wine Freixenet “Special Selection”, which intensifies the group’s commitment to this line of business. With the aim of satisfying the needs and tastes of consumers, this range is ideal to taste at any time of the day.
Inviting you to “Savor the moment”, the company’s Elyssia range will not miss the appointment either. Freixenet has relaunched this emblematic range of premium cava with a modern and elegant image proposal to conquer palates looking for sophistication and celebration. Thanks to its excellence and high quality standards, Elyssia has been recognized by the most prestigious wine competitions in the world and, in 2022, received a rating of 90 points in the illustrious Peñín Guide, as well as gold medals in Effervescents du Monde, CINVE, Premis Vinarí or Giroví. The most iconic cavas of the Freixenet brand will also be shown, such as Carta Nevada or Cordón Negro, which has been distinguished recently and for the second consecutive year with the National and Regional Champion awards for the famous contest The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (Tom Stevenson), thus valuing it as the best sparkling wine in Spain and the best cava in the world.
In addition, the wine and cava brand Segura Viudas will also be present at the fair, which, after its brand relaunch, continues to consolidate itself within the premium wine market, with cavas made according to the traditional champenoise method, prestigious still wines and a “Boutique” winery. Segura Viudas cavas have been recognized on numerous occasions by prestigious wine competitions at national and international level. In 2022, the following cavas won gold medals: Brut Reserva at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Brut Rosé at Premis Vinari and Reserva Heredad and Brut Vintage Gran Reserva at CINVE.
Another of the main novelties of the winery firm is the renewed image of the emblematic René Barbier wine brand. With a classic-modern design, the company exhibits this new aesthetic to the public for the first time. Through this renewed positioning, based on the legacy that passes from generation to generation and the passion that endures in winemaking since 1880, this innovative image seeks to reach all tables without losing its essence and unique identity.
Attendees will also be able to discover the premium champagne brand Alfred Gratien, which has recently been recognized by obtaining excellent scores from important world-famous guides. Decanter has awarded 95 points to Alfred Gratien Cuvée Passation 2008, 94 points to Alfred Gratien Memory 1991 and 91 points to Alfred Gratien Blanc de Blancs 2015. Wine Spectator has recognized the Alfred Gratien Brut Classic champagne with 93 points. Finally, Wine&Spirits has awarded 92 points to Alfred Gratien Cuvée Paradis 2015 and Alfred Gratien Brut Vintage 2012.
Likewise, Mangaroca Batida, returns to the fair one more year to consolidate itself as the ideal liquor brand for the preparation of cocktails and combinations, from the simplest to the most elaborate beverage options. Mangaroca Batida de Coco and Mangaroca Batida Pura de Coco, the two products that make up this line and that are highly versatile, provide joie de vivre, fun, as well as an exotic and sensual air.
