Segura Viudas launches its Christmas campaign starring chef Vicky Sevilla and presents two new cavas
The historic Segura Viudas winery, located in the heart of the Penedès, launches the new Brut Reserva 2022 and Rosé Vintage 2022 cavas as part of its Christmas campaign, starring chef and brand ambassador Vicky Sevilla. The campaign, which invites us to celebrate the values of unity, generosity and gratitude, pays tribute to the winery’s employees, who work daily to preserve the legacy of Segura Viudas and puts at the forefront the importance of respecting roots and authenticity, in tune with the brand’s values.
In the campaign, Vicky Sevilla, MICHELIN-starred chef and owner of the prestigious Arrels restaurant, offers a haute cuisine dinner as a tribute and tribute to the work of the winery team, from the vineyard to the cellars, thus recognizing her dedication to the quality and tradition of Segura Viudas.
This gesture of gratitude to the team behind the brand highlights Segura Viudas’ commitment to its legacy, its roots and its history. As part of the presentation event, which was attended by the specialised press and gastronomic influencers, a sensory pairing experience was offered by merging the aromas of the new cavas and wines from Segura Viudas and gastronomy by Vicky Sevilla and François Chartier, a world leader in the science of aromas. Celebrated for his work on Molecular Harmonies and a consultant to prestigious chefs and brands, Chartier brings a unique perspective that enriches this celebration of gastronomy and the senses. With more than three decades of experience and winner of multiple awards, Chartier has revolutionized the pairing between flavors and aromas, positioning itself as an icon in world gastronomy.
The two new cavas launched by Segura Viudas and presented at the event symbolise its commitment to excellence and oenological innovation. The Brut Reserva 2022, a Guarda Superior cava, represents tradition and balance, maturing in conditions of silence and darkness for a minimum of 18 months to provide aromatic richness and complexity. This cava, made with local grapes along with a touch of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, stands out for its elegance. For its part, the Rosé Vintage 2022, created from Pinot Noir and Black Grenache, is a fresh, versatile and complex rosé. Inspired by the iconic bottle of Reserva Heredad, the new cavas incorporate an ecological paper collar made with grape remains, reaffirming Segura Viudas’ commitment to sustainability.
Vicky Sevilla: Ambassador of authenticity and respect for one’s roots
Vicky Sevilla, prestigious Valencian chef and ambassador of Segura Viudas, has established herself as an innovative figure in Spanish gastronomy. At just 25 years old, she opened her restaurant Arrels in Sagunto, which led her to be the youngest chef to receive a MICHELIN star in Spain. In addition, he has a Repsol Sun and other recognitions, such as ‘New Talent of the Year 2023’ from La Liste Mediterranean. His restaurant was recently highlighted among the 30 best new restaurants in Europe by the Opinionated About Dining (OAD) guide.
