Freixenet, Segura Viudas and Mionetto, Freixenet Group’s main news at Barcelona Wine Week
Freixenet Group, a world leader in quality sparkling wines, will be present at the fifth edition of Barcelona Wine Week (BWW), the most prominent international event in the wine sector in Spain, which brings together more than a thousand wineries. The company will take advantage of this event to show the renewed image of the emblematic Freixenet Carta Nevada, Cordon Negro and Carta Rosé cavas, present the new cavas of Segura Viudas and present Mionetto, its leading prosecco brand. In addition, visitors will be able to discover the latest developments of the Freixenet Group and enjoy a wide range of tastings and pairings at stand C70 in Hall 8 during the event, which will be held on 3, 4 and 5 February at the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona. The company has also established a collaboration with Cal Blay to offer the Freixenet Group’s cavas and wines exclusively at the BWW’s catering points.
In this way, the Freixenet Group brings various new products to the fair, including the new image of its range of emblematic cavas, Carta Nevada, Cordón Negro and Carta Rosé, characterised by its distinction, elegance and modernity. The new design rejuvenates and elevates the premium perception of the brand, retains its iconic distinctive elements and incorporates the newly released Freixenet logo. In addition, this proposal is more sustainable and environmentally friendly. In the mini format, the weight of the bottles and the use of plastic have been reduced, while in the standard bottles, more sustainable materials are used, eliminating plasticization on the front label.
For its part, Segura Viudas will present the new Vintage Brut Reserva 2022 and Rosé Vintage 2022 cavas, the brand’s latest novelties that reflect the company’s commitment to excellence and oenological innovation. The winery will also exhibit its range of premium wines “Homenaje”, made up of three wines from the DO Catalonia: white, rosé and red, a very gastronomic line focused on catering.
The company will also unveil Mionetto, the most internationally distributed prosecco brand, which combines tradition, quality and Italian style. Mionetto’s portfolio includes Mionetto DOC Prosecco Brut and Rosé, the alcohol-free version Mionetto 0.0% and the Luxury Collection formed by Mionetto DOCG Valdobbiadene Brut and DOCG Cartizze. Among the brand’s novelties are also Mionetto Aperitivo, with and without alcohol, designed to revolutionise the Spritz cocktail.
During the exclusive presentation of Mionetto, you will be able to taste the best cocktails of the brand, prepared by the expert Antonio Naranjo of Especiarium. All this will be accompanied by a select variety of cheeses from around the world, creating the perfect combination between Prosecco and Mionetto Aperitif.
Likewise, the Freixenet Group stand will once again be one of the highlights of the fair thanks to the tasting and pairing programme it will offer. The gastronomic experiences with Segura Viudas in collaboration with La Gastronòmica and the chefs Food Melody and Cintet stand out. There will also be pairings of Freixenet Cuvées de Prestige cavas with Gouthier oysters, Elyssia cavas with ham and Alfred Gratien champagne with Montbrú cheeses, as well as a vertical tasting of historic vintages of Segura Viudas Reserva Heredad.
In this way, the Freixenet Group, as the world’s leading sparkling wine brand, consolidates its position as one of the main international wine companies present at Barcelona Wine Week, with the firm intention of promoting and continuing to boost the wine and sparkling wine sector.
