Freixenet Group’s success at the Vinari Awards

From the Freixenet Group we are proud to announce that Freixenet and Segura Viudas have added new successes in the 12th summer edition of the prestigious Vinari Awards, dedicated to recognizing the best young Catalan wines. The event took place on Wednesday, June 19 in Rubí.

Specifically, the Freixenet cava awarded with the outstanding Gold Vinari Award has been Elyssia Pinot Noir, a Cava that integrates the true essence of Pinot Noir grown in the Penedès. Of an intense pink colour, it has fruity sensations on the palate, making it tasty and sweet, with refreshing acidity and a long finish with flavours of ripe fruits. In addition, the Cava Elyssia Brut, designed for lovers of the Chardonnay variety, has been awarded the Silver Vinari Award.

Likewise, the new white wine from the Homenaje of Segura Viudas range, with elegant floral aromas of white and pink flowers, which are intertwined with touches provided by the barrel, such as toasted and vanilla, has won the Silver Vinari Award. In addition, Segura Viudas Brut Rosé, a Cava with fruity aromas of youth reminiscent of raspberry, currant and pomegranate, and Segura Viudas Lavit Brut Nature, with aromas of ageing, ripe fruit and aniseed hints, have won the Silver Vinari Award.

For more than a decade, the Vinari Awards  have distinguished the good work and progress of Catalan wineries in the field of wines and sparkling wines. The objectives of the Vinari Awards are multiple, but they converge when it comes to connecting the seas of vineyards that dot the entire Catalan territory with society and consumers who will appreciate and value them.

The company’s new achievements, in the form of gold and silver medals, certify the Freixenet Group’s firm commitment to the highest quality.
