The world leader in quality sparkling wines, Freixenet, has once again achieved success thanks to the quality of its wines and cavas. On this occasion, Freixenet Malvasia 2014 has been awarded the Grand Gold Bacchus medal, an outstanding medal that only three cavas in the entire competition have won in the 22nd edition of the Bacchus International Wine Competition. In addition, Elyssia Brut and the Freixenet Selección Especial Rosé and Red wines have been awarded the Gold Bacchus and Reserva Real has been recognized with the Silver Bacchus.
The prestigious Bacchus competition, organized by the Spanish Tasters Union (UEC), brought together in Madrid a hundred expert tasters from more than 30 different countries. After analyzing nearly 2,000 wines and sparkling wines from the main producing regions of the world, the jury of the competition has decided to reward the quality of Freixenet wines and cavas with gold medals, reserved for wines and cavas that obtain scores above 88 points, and the silver medal.
