Freixenet Group participates one more year at Cavatast betting on cava and the territory.
Freixenet Group once again shows its commitment to one of the wine sector events for excellence, the Cavatast, the Cavas and Gastronomy Festival of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, as a sign of its commitment to the cava sector and the Penedès region. During the event, which will take place from October 6 to 8 at Parc Lluís Companys, Freixenet and Segura Viudas will have their own stand, a space where attendees will be able to taste a wide variety of products. In the case of Freixenet, the main cavas will be Cuvée DS, Elyssia Gran Cuvée and Elyssia Pinot Noir, while in the case of Segura Viudas, Brut Reserva and Brut Rosé will be in charge of delighting those who come by.
In addition, for the first time this year, Cavas Freixenet have hosted “La Nit dels Màgnums”, an event that opens the Cava Week and in which cavas from different wineries are tasted in magnum format bottles together with local gastronomy. At the same time, Freixenet and Segura Viudas will host activities in their wineries during the weekend. The proposal “Cava and chocolate tasting” will take place in the Freixenet cellars along with Simón Coll on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 at 11.15h; and the “Gastronomic visit to Segura Viudas” will be held on Saturday 7 at 12h in Segura Viudas.
Freixenet and Segura Viudas will also participate in different spaces organized by the Cavatast. On Saturday, October 7, the activity “Cava & bikinis, harmonies of cava with signature bikinis” will take place at 5 pm at the Fassina de Can Guineu with Segura Viudas Brut Vintage. There will also be a tasting “Cava de guarda vs cava de guarda superior: a tasting for the senses”, at 5pm at the activities area of Parc Lluís Companys with Segura Viudas Lavit Brut Nature and Freixenet Reserva Real. Finally, “Cava in female” will be held at 8 pm at the Fassina de Can Guin with Freixenet Cuvée DS, a tasting led by Glòria Collell, oenologist of the Freixenet Group.
Finally, on Sunday, October 8 at 12.30 pm, “Women and cava: what we have never been told” will be held, a tasting that includes Freixenet Cuvée DS and will end with a tribute to Dolors Sala, co-founder of Freixenet, who led and presided the company until 1978.
