The Freixenet Group makes environmental improvements

The Freixenet Group continues to invest on improving the quality and efficiency of its production processes. For this reason, Freixenet has implemented a new system for treating wastewater using SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor). This purification system allows us a very significant reduction of waste that comes from the surface treatment of the containers and from the organic contamination of the process wastewater.

In addition, a new ceramic-based tangential filter has been acquired to treat cava base wines. This new filtration system represents improvements with respect to diatomaceous earth filtration, since the filtration efficiency is increased with a maximum and the residues that come from the filtration earth are eliminated.
