Freixenet Group presents its new products at Barcelona Wine Week
Freixenet Group, a world leader in quality sparkling wines, will be present at the sixth edition of Barcelona Wine Week (BWW), the international benchmark event for the wine sector in Spain, which brings together more than a thousand wineries. The company will take advantage of this new edition to present the main novelties of its brands, such as Freixenet and Mionetto, publicizing its latest product launches and strengthening its position in innovation, sustainability and oenological excellence. Visitors will be able to discover all these new features during the event on 2, 3 and 4 February at stand C70 in Hall 8 at Fira de Barcelona's Montjuïc venue.
Freixenet and Mionetto, the group's main novelties
Freixenet will present at the fair the relaunch of "Herencia desde 1861", its collection of high-end cavas made up of Cuvée DS, Reserva Real, Trepat and Malvasia, which have a sophisticated and elegant image. This range represents a journey to the heart of Freixenet's legacy, paying tribute to the emblematic figure of Dolors Sala, who marked a before and after in the history of the winery and the sector. With this visual update, the collection reinforces its position as a benchmark for quality and exclusivity, adapting to contemporary tastes without losing the traditional essence that characterises it, and connecting with consumers who value history and authenticity in each bottle.
In this new edition, the Freixenet Group reinforces its commitment to innovation and adaptation to new consumption habits with the expansion of its range of non-alcoholic wines. Among the main novelties are Freixenet Cordón Negro 0.0%, the alcohol-free version of the brand's most international cava presented in its iconic frosted black bottle, which stands out for its aromas of white fruit, flowers and tropical notes. The winery will also present Freixenet 0.0% Rosé, a non-alcoholic rosé wine that retains the wine-like character, is low in calories and vegan, offering a rich and authentic sensory experience. Freixenet's portfolio of alcohol-free products is designed to offer a unique experience enjoying a drink without the need to drink alcohol and without sacrificing taste, aroma and quality. These brand launches come at a time of global trend of moderation in consumption and the sustained growth of the "alcohol-free" category. Freixenet is a leader in non-alcoholic sparkling wines nationally and internationally according to IWSR data.
The company will also unveil Freixenet Solare, a new aperitif made with 100% natural lemon essences of Spanish origin that captures the fresh and radiant essence of the Mediterranean. This proposal combines a citrus vivacity with a botanical depth that brings complexity and elegance to the palate. Freixenet Solare is perfectly balanced, slightly sweet and refreshing, making it an ideal base for the creation of Spritz cocktails, combining harmoniously with Freixenet cava to offer a flavoured and sophisticated experience.
Mionetto, its leading brand in Prosecco at an international level, which combines tradition, quality and Italian style, will also be present at the fair. Mionetto presents a significant evolution of its main reference: Mionetto DOC Prosecco Brut. The bottle has been renewed with a more sophisticated and elegant design and with a reduction in weight, which contributes to a more sustainable production and aligned with the group's environmental values. The brand's portfolio also includes Mionetto DOC Prosecco Rosé, Mionetto 0.0%, the Luxury Collection - made up of Mionetto DOCG Valdobbiadene Brut and DOCG Cartizze - and Mionetto Aperitif, available with and without alcohol, designed to revolutionise the Spritz cocktail.
Other outstanding activities at the fair
The Freixenet Group's stand will once again be one of the points of attraction thanks to a wide and varied programme of tastings and pairings. Of particular note are the gastronomic experiences with Segura Viudas, who will be the protagonist of a pairing with Aspic's creations. There will also be the presentation of the collection "Heritage since 1861", with guided tastings of high-end cavas.
Likewise, Elyssia Gran Cuvée Brut cavas can be paired with Iberian ham and a special tasting of non-alcoholic products will be offered that will include Freixenet Cordón Negro 0.0% and Freixenet 0.0% Rosé. Finally, the Freixenet stand will also host a pairing of Freixenet Special Selection wines along with the irresistible Deleito burgers. This dynamic and experiential programme will bring the group's novelties closer to visitors in an attractive and memorable way.
Finally, the group will also have an active role in the program of the fair. Glòria Collell, International Wine Manager of Grup Freixenet, will participate as a speaker in the Catalan Wine Talks – Success stories of wine tourism in Catalonia, organized by INCAVI, where she will share the experience and the group's model of success in the field of wine tourism.
