Mionetto explores the origins of Italian good taste with Gigi Vives in his new digital docuseries.
What makes something tasteful? Is it a matter of aesthetics? Trends? Knowing how to choose? Or is it more about a way of seeing, living, and enjoying things?
These are the questions that kick off Questione Di Gusto by Gigi Vives, Mionetto's new digital docuseries, which premiered last Wednesday, June 3rd, on Instagram (@mionetto_es). The series takes viewers on a journey to the heart of Italy to discover the origins of what the world recognizes as "Italian taste."
Over six episodes, content creator Gigi Vives explores different corners of Veneto, Mionetto's homeland and the birthplace of Prosecco, to understand what lies behind a culture that has transformed design, gastronomy, craftsmanship, and the art of sharing into a true way of life.
Far from the usual clichés associated with Italy, the series explores a more contemporary and profound vision of Italian identity. A quest that focuses not only on what is seen, but also on what is felt: the sensitivity to appreciate details, the pleasure of doing things well, and the ability to savor everyday moments.
For this, Mionetto finds the perfect travel companion in Gigi Vives. Her sensitivity to fashion, design, travel, and cultural experiences makes her a natural guide for discovering Italian taste through curiosity and authenticity. More than a hostess, Gigi becomes the voice of a generation that seeks inspiration in real experiences and understands style as an attitude rather than a trend.
During the journey, the designer discovers some of the rituals that best represent this Italian way of life. From the landscapes of Valdobbiadene to the aperitivo culture, and encounters with artisans, creators, and local icons, she helps to understand why Italy remains a global benchmark when it comes to taste.
As a brand born in Valdobbiadene in 1887, Mionetto is part of that story. Not only as one of the region's historic wineries, but also as a contemporary expression of a culture that celebrates the joy of sharing. Throughout the series, the Mionetto universe naturally accompanies some of the most representative moments of the journey, from a glass of Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut at its place of origin to the ritual of the authentic Italian Spritz made with Mionetto Aperitivo.
With this initiative, the brand is also committed to a new way of telling its story. In a context where audiences demand increasingly authentic and relevant content, Mionetto brings the documentary style to Instagram to connect its origins, its territory, and its brand philosophy with a new generation of consumers. This series format is designed to guide the viewer episode by episode and demonstrate that some stories are better experienced than simply explained.
"Taste has a lot to do with how you experience things, with what inspires you, and with what you choose to share. This project allowed me to discover a much more authentic Italy and understand that Italian style isn't explained: it's experienced," says Gigi Vives.
The series will begin in Barcelona, the starting point of this personal quest, and will culminate on July 1st with an exclusive premiere where press, content creators and special guests will discover the outcome of the journey in an experience designed to take the Questione Di Gusto universe beyond the screen.
