Gold Bacchus for Freixenet Cuvée D.S at the 24th edition of the Bacchus International Wine Competition

The world leader in quality sparkling wines Freixenet has once again achieved success thanks to the quality of its wines and Cavas. On this occasion, the Cava Freixenet Cuvée D.S has been awarded the Bacchus Gold medal at the 24th edition of the Bacchus International Wine Competition. In addition, it has obtained one of the five best scores, which makes it a candidate for the "Food of Spain Best Wines, year 2026" Award from the Ministry of Agriculture in the Best Sparkling Wine category.

The prestigious Bacchus competition, organised by the Spanish Union of Tasters (UEC), brings together more than one hundred prestigious international tasters in Spain for four days – journalists, sommeliers, oenologists, Masters of Wine and Master Sommelier – who guarantee an independent and rigorous evaluation of the wines, in a professional and high-level environment. Bacchus is an international benchmark in wine, bringing together producers from the five continents every year and consolidating itself as the great Spanish event of prestige and global projection.
