Freixenet is committed to culture and floral art at the 71st edition of Girona Temps de Flors
The Freixenet Cavas are once again committed to culture and floral art with their participation in the 71st edition of Girona Temps de Flors. In this year's edition, Freixenet will be present through the sponsorship of the project "Baños de Flores" by the florist Alba Casals of "Las flores del alba". This creation will be located in the iconic space of the Arab Baths of Girona. In previous editions, Freixenet has supported floral projects located in the Church of Sant Lluc and in the Cloister of Girona Cathedral, demonstrating its commitment to the city and to this outstanding cultural event.
Specifically, the intervention is organized around the two existing arches of the caldarium room and the column that connects them. From these architectural elements unfolds an impressive branched structure of ivy trunks that reconstructs a floral porch from which the compositions hang. This porch is conceived as a support for the suspension of the flower, configuring an enveloping atmosphere and coherent with the idea of the floral bath as a space of pause and tranquility within the exhibition route of the city.
As the florist herself, Alba Casals, defines it: "When life is messy, chaotic and lived in a hurry, there is nothing better than a bath of flowers that touches our soul and leaves it with colors full of light."
Freixenet points out that: "Girona Temps de Flors is a great project to highlight the historical heritage of Girona, merging art, nature and architecture. With this sponsorship, Freixenet revalidates its willingness to support the territory and its traditions, as well as culture and art. In this way, the company's firm commitment is made visible and positive synergies are created with the area".
Girona Temps de Flors
Girona Temps de Flors is one of the most emblematic events of spring in Catalonia, an explosion of colours and creativity with more than 100 spaces that transform the streets, courtyards and monuments of the Barri Vell de Girona and other areas of the city into a spectacular urban garden. In this way, the city will host a new edition of this event that attracts thousands of visitors, offering surprising floral displays and ephemeral artistic creations. In addition to being a sensory spectacle, it includes a varied cultural agenda with concerts, exhibitions and guided tours of historical sites that help to complement the visit to the city.
